Overview

A Ninja's Return is a visual novel for players who like slower romance stories with a quiet setting. The tone stays gentle and reflective, even as the story hints at trouble beneath the surface.

Story

A wounded shinobi wakes in a recovery haven built for rest rather than combat, complete with a ramen shop, a bathhouse, and calm streets meant for healing. What starts as a period of recovery gradually opens into something larger, as growing connections and a quiet undercurrent of danger reshape what was meant to be a simple return to health.

Gameplay

Players move through daily life in the haven, choosing how the shinobi spends time and who he grows close to. Conversations and choices shape branching routes, with the story adjusting based on which relationships are pursued and how far they go. Progress is paced through dialogue-driven scenes rather than combat or exploration mechanics.

This one had a bit more work for me than usual since there's new map sections, some new characters and some extra content, but we still got there in the end! Still right on schedule too, which I'm happy about.
The big inclusion for this update is that Tsunade is finally in the game! Along with that, there's a bit more Rukia and Orihime sleep content and a new Sakura scene. For the new areas, there's nothing major yet, but it's a foundation for something later which I plan to build on top of. Also, the story progression UI has been reworked, which should make it feel better on Android now
