Overview

Helluva Game is an 18+ visual novel for players who like parody settings with a demonic cast. The tone leans dark comedy mixed with mystery.

Story

The player character wakes up dead in the Helluva Boss world with no memory of how it happened. Taking work as an assassin among the show's demons, he has to piece together the circumstances of his own death while getting drawn into the lives of the women around him.

Gameplay

Progress moves through visual novel storytelling, choices, and encounters with various demon and monster girl characters as the mystery unfolds. The player reads through chapters, makes decisions that shape which women he grows close to, and slowly gathers clues about his death along the way.

Story & Characters
Version 0.2.1 introduces a major story rework, currently covering everything up to and including Millie’s fantasy sequence. You can also choose to continue into the older, unfinished part of the story, starting when Loona arrives in the alley.
[UPDATED] The target of your first mission now escapes instead of being killed.
[UPDATED] Millie’s cheating route has been removed from the current story. It is planned to return much later, with stronger motivations behind her decisions — depending on your choices.
[UPDATED] The protagonist’s default name is now Pookie instead of Agent.
[UPDATED] The protagonist’s appearance is no longer shown or described.
Scenes & Gallery
[NEW] Millie Above — Millie leans over the exhausted protagonist.
[NEW] Added a Gallery to the main menu, allowing you to replay unlocked scenes. The main menu has been redesigned to accommodate it.
[UPDATED] Both Millie Fantasy Sex scenes (Millie being pounded) are enhanced from animatics into full animations. They now in 8 FPS.
[UPDATED] Backstreets BJ from Millie has been moved out of the main story and into the Gallery as a bonus scene, unlocked from the start.
[UPDATED] [PATREON ONLY] Loona’s fantasy and sex scenes are now also available through the Gallery.

Interface & Settings
[NEW] Added a button to delete individual save slots in the Save/Load menus.
[UPDATED] Increased the spacing between save thumbnails and timestamps to make save slots easier to read.
[NEW] Added Delete All Data to Options to help avoid conflicts with data from older versions. Using it before starting the updated game is recommended.
[UPDATED] Unseen Text and After Choices are now enabled by default, allowing you to skip unread text and continue skipping after making a choice.
[UPDATED] Removed Skip Transitions from Options, as it had little practical benefit and could cause visual effects to display incorrectly.
[UPDATED] Removed the redundant Start button from the in-game menu. It remains available in the main menu.
[UPDATED] Improved the About screen’s spacing and typography, and expanded the credits.
Fixes & Improvements
[UPDATED] Major improvements to the Android interface. It now uses the desktop version’s layout instead of the default mobile layout.
[UPDATED] The Android version now uses a custom app icon instead of the default Ren’Py icon.
[FIXED] Corrected the spacing between dialogue entries on the History screen.
[FIXED] Fixed text outlines for character names, dialogue, and menu text at higher resolutions.
