Overview

Smallwood is a visual novel for players who want a comic-book flavored adult parody with a small-town setting. The tone mixes teen drama with sci-fi absurdity, kept light rather than grim.

Story

Clark is a young man in Smallwood, Kansas, coming to terms with an alien heritage he never asked for and a mission that feels too big for him. Alongside school life and town gossip, he faces meteor-fueled threats and a darker side of himself that surfaces when he's pushed too far, always at a cost.

Gameplay

Play unfolds through point-and-click exploration and dialogue choices as Clark splits his time between school, town investigations, and personal relationships. Story chapters move the alien-heritage plot forward, while side content lets you catch glimpses of the other residents' lives around town. A few light minigames break up the visual novel pacing.
