Overview
Festival "Gold Fox" is a 2D adult visual novel with board-game elements, made for players who enjoy card collecting and parody-driven fantasy settings. The tone mixes dry humor with a tense family rivalry.
Story
After losing everything that mattered to him, a wealthy man receives an invitation to the "Golden Fox Festival," a lavish casino-club disguised as a cosplay event. To earn access to the girls who run it, he must compete in a "Rivalry" against his own brother, the person who hates him most. Behind the games and cosplay lies the Mistress, who watches his every move for reasons he doesn't yet understand.
Gameplay
Progress is driven by a board game where each dice roll shifts your position and odds. Along the way you collect girl cards, build combinations, and use them in card battles against your brother. Correctly answering quiz questions during events opens up new scenes, tying the board, the cards, and the story together into one loop.
Features
- Card collecting and combination-building layered onto a board-game structure
- Card duels with opponent AI driving the rivalry forward
- Parody-styled cosplay aesthetic across character designs
- Lore tied to the Mistress, uncovered gradually as you advance
Changelog
v1.2
- Four manual save slots instead of a single autosave.
- Added save and load buttons to the map.
- Honkai: Star Rail title and +1 crossover girl.
- Improved enemy AI in card duels.
- Fixed tags that blocked certain achievements.
- Empty cells on the board no longer block the game.
- Fixed spots where English players saw Russian text mid-scene.
- Removed the Boosty button since it's no longer needed.
- Armor no longer makes cards nearly immortal. It now reduces the hit itself instead of subtracting a flat amount of health. Weak attacks still damage armored cards.
- The Archer attacks exactly as described: two diagonal targets.
- The Archer and Mage no longer lose damage when hitting multiple targets; it's just split between them.
- If the Mage's main target is dead, leftover damage hits another living card.
- Dodging is fairer now: one attack equals one dodge attempt. If the card dodges, the attack misses entirely.
- Vampirism only heals from actual damage dealt, not the base damage.
- Health no longer exceeds the max from vampirism or regeneration.
- Tenacity triggers once per round, not once per duel.
- Rage finally works and gives the stated attack bonus.
- Duels can't last forever anymore. There's a round limit; after that, it's a draw.
- Fixed numerous grammar and logic errors.
v1.1
- Fixed (again) a bug in the English version that would count correct answers as incorrect.
- Fixed a bug with missing pictures for Meiko Shiraki.
- Added achievements for "Akame ga Kill," "Food Wars," and "Overlord."
- Added two girls: Himiko Toga from "MGA" and Holo from "Spice and Wolf."
- Minor grammar corrections.
