Overview
Course of Temptation is a text-based college life simulator for players who want an open, character-driven adult sandbox. The tone is explicit and unhurried, built around slow-burn scenarios rather than a single fixed story.
Gameplay
Players create a character — male, female, transgender, or non-binary — and guide them through college life, choosing how they study, socialize, and behave in public and private. The simulation tracks hundreds of possible events, letting choices push a character toward exhibitionist, voyeuristic, or more submissive and dominant paths depending on how situations are handled. Progress comes from repeated interactions and decisions rather than a linear plot, with new scenes unlocking as relationships and reputation shift.
Features
- Character creation covering multiple genders and identities
- Large pool of interconnected events tied to school and social settings
- Harem-style relationship options alongside solo and voyeuristic paths
- Browser-based text interface with no separate installation steps
Changelog
v0.8.4
- You can now use Elkbook to post an advertisement looking for roommates if you 1) have rented a place with bedrooms to fill, or 2) are thinking of renting a place and do not yet have a unit there.
- Your advertisement can set preferences for age range, gender, and whether they are a student.
- NPCs now decide whether they wish to move based on factors like whether they think they could afford it and how much they like their current roommate.
- Besides being able to convince friends and lovers to move in with you, NPCs who want to move anyway may now also agree if they generally like you, even if you aren’t that close.
- NPCs who want to move may, of course, also respond to your roommate ad if you fit their own preferences — they will do so semi-randomly using the background NPC simulation system.
- You’re notified when an NPC responds to a roommate ad and you can look at their basic details. You can then decide whether you want to accept or reject them on the spot, or you can set up a brief interview.
- Setting up an interview for a prospective roommate essentially creates a special type of hangout — you’ll speak with them at home and get more of a sense of who they are and how they might relate to you if you move in.
- When a prospective roommate is accepted for a unit you’re already renting, they’ll move in immediately.
- When a prospective roommate is accepted for a unit you have not yet rented, they’ll wait to move in until you rent it, and also split the deposit and first month’s rent with you.
- Added a mini-storyline event set that can take place with a mutually attractive roommate that you are not yet dating or being sexual with.
- You can now discuss how much of the rent roommate NPCs pay, and negotiate a reduced share in return for paying earlier or less PG rules.
- You can also reduce an NPC’s share of the rent and ask for nothing in return, which will boost their attitude each month when rent comes due.
- Shy PCs are no longer hit with an uncharacteristic action penalty for starting a conversation with someone they have an established relationship with.
- Bulletin board notices are now more individualized with different backgrounds and fonts (each now comes with a Read button to see them more legibly with the standard background and your chosen font) (contributed by drakon).
- Added an accessibility option to disable font variations, currently only useful for bulletin board posts, but also anything similar that gets added in the future (contributed by drakon).
- Added an opportunity event within a Greek house when an officer is present to discuss living there, since the option was kind of hidden away otherwise.
- NPCs who tend to be undressed at home, previously only witnessed within Chicory Hall, now extend that behavior to housing units.
- NPCs may choose to be topless in housing units as long as they’re comfortable with all roommates seeing them that way.
- Seeing a roommate undressed for the first time will generate a voyeurism event and memory.
- Added an action to wait for class to start if you get there just before the time it would let you attend (contributed by CGeorge).
- The wardrobe interface will now indicate when wearing an item will replace something you’re already wearing (contributed by CGeorge).
- After putting on an item, you can now optionally add the item to one, many, or all outfits (most useful for adding new bags and accessories to your outfits) (contributed by CGeorge).
- Updated the hair stylist and tattoo menus to use the standard shop interface and indicate style perception changes (contributed by CGeorge).
- Many fixes and tweaks.
