Overview

Coffee Story is a 2D adventure for players who want surreal horror mixed with body-transformation themes. The tone stays unsettling and dreamlike rather than lighthearted.

Story

A young man wakes from a strange dream to find himself slowly turning into a girl he met there, and the changes keep bleeding into his waking life. To keep the transformation from becoming permanent, he hides behind a fake identity as a new girl at school while looking for a way to reverse it. Along the way he leans on Yuri, Kari, and Nanami, each of whom has their own uneasy connection to the dream world: Yuri's recurring nightmares, Nanami's need to escape her hard reality through dreaming, and Kari's fractured, hidden state of mind.

Gameplay

Play moves between waking life and dream sequences, with puzzle-solving and exploration used to uncover what's causing the protagonist's transformation and how far it will go. Choices and discoveries in the dreamworld carry consequences back into reality, pushing the body-horror and corruption elements further the deeper the player digs. Time is split between navigating school life under a false identity and venturing into monster-filled dream spaces to find answers.

To streamline pregnancy, the Fertility Crest is now more accessible: imperfect Festival of Life went from 4/5 requirements to to 2+/5. This means even just the Malice (Blonde variant) transformation would trigger it. It’s still a lot of core content to hide behind what I would consider a fairly advanced puzzle, but I believe players that are interested in this stuff either already know how solve it or will look up a guide anyway.
Press f9 to remove Kari's route pregnancy. Use it if it's an issue. May purge other things, but works only once.
Story
Added a story event when MC wakes up heavily pregnant.
This means it triggers from ghosts, harlequins and anything that doesn’t have a gestation period + the Crest.
It can technically trigger as the Banshee or Harbinger pregnancy gets to full term, though it won’t make sense as the reaction is that it’s spontaneous.
This is a common route event, not affiliated with any girl in particular.
Needs the Sleepover Event cleared.
Over 400 lines of dialog.
Mechanics
Redone how Fertility Crest carries over pregnancies.
It now only saves the first pregnancy type that was triggered. Anything else is discarded when the dream ends.
All lectures now have a bit of extra dialogue inserted when MC is pregnant.
Kari route pregnancy is now treated as regular pregnancy with Crest, to prevent content softlock. Will be amended when her story progresses.
Imperfect Festival of Life went from 4/5 requirements to to 2+/5.
Dialogue
Sora and Reiko now react to MC’s appearance.
This functions slightly differently from how Yuri’s commentary works.
Not all sizes have reactions. Characters use size ranges instead.
Sora triggers at 2-3, 4-6, 7-8 breasts and 3-5, 6-8 hips
Reiko triggers at 2-4, 5-8 breasts and 3-5, 6-8 hips
Both react to pregnancy ranges 1-2(nausea), 3-6(barely showing), 7-9(obvious), 10-13(full term), 14-16(overdue), 17-22(weird)
This reaction still drains stamina and replaces the regular conversations.
The regular conversation is then queued up for the next day.
After the first time they react, the same reaction has a 10% chance to trigger again if the range is still the same.
The repeat chance for the pregnancy reaction is 20%.
Added one new conversation to Sora. While her pregnancy test dialog has been moved to the 1-2(nausea) reaction range.
