KANADE and the Ecchi Worklife is a 2D visual novel for players who want a slow descent told through a young woman's own choices. The tone starts grounded and domestic before turning increasingly explicit.

Story

Kanade and Kazuki are high school sweethearts whose relationship deepens into something real, but his family's crushing debt changes everything. When Kazuki takes on part-time work to help his father and sister pay off five million yen, Kanade insists on doing the same, setting herself a goal of a million yen earned on her own. What begins as simple part-time work slowly tests how far she's willing to go, and what it costs her relationship, to get there.

Gameplay

Players manage Kanade's week day by day, choosing between school, job-hunting, working, and resting to balance limited stamina against her need for money. Taking rougher or more exploitative jobs raises her desire while eating away at guilt and awareness, pushing her toward choices she wouldn't otherwise make, while sex with Kazuki can pull her back the other way. A diary tracks everything Kanade does and with whom, and the story occasionally shifts to Kazuki's own point of view, letting players see how her choices look from the other side.
